Dear parents,
It is a busy time at Maple Ridge school! We have been busy learning about how worms help the earth. Last week we did an experiment to see if worms like light or dark environments. Ask your child how they tested this question. We also learned about the body parts of the worm and what kind of food it likes best. Some of our worms are very acrobatic! Weather permitting, this Friday is Active Living Day. We are incorporating a STEM theme into this year's event. This is our last week to visit the library at school. ALL BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED FRIDAY JUNE 15th. We also have been learning about how to make our writing more interesting by using figurative language. We have learned about alliteration, personification, simile and metaphor.
